Walter donated an artwork for the annual fundraising auction of the Cerebral Palsy League. It is from the "Putting One Self Onto Two Maps" series, which will be put up on the website in time.
The auction was very successful, raising in excess of $ 20,000. Walter's piece was auctioned last and raised $650.

Walter is one of the 40 finalists of the 2nd Sunshine Coast Art Prize, out of near 500 national applications across all 2D media.
The piece entered is 'florification | ascension [Kedongdong]', which can be seen on the 'flowers' page.

May 07:
Walter Stahl is featured emerging artist in the inaugural newsletter for the Queensland operations of Joel Fine Art, run by Michael Fox,
in their new gallery space at 159 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington, opening Sat 23 June.
An exhibition is in the pipeline for around September. This will be the first secondary market gallery to open in Brisbane, and a valuable
addition to the growing arts scene in Queensland. Joel Fine Art will be exhibiting select Queensland contemporary artists alongside private treaty and special preview events. See the newsletter here, the article is on page 4.

April 07:
Walter is part of the 'New Generation' program of the Art Melbourne 07 art fair and is runner-up to the people's choice awards [by 7 votes, apparently].

The State Library of Queensland has won an award for their digital story telling work and website. I was participant in one of their very early workshops and here you can check out mine and the other stories . There is quite a bit of background information on my practice, and more artworks in the story.
