The third series of photomedia works recorded with a flatbed scanner, utilizing its peculiarities of time- and movement-based exposure. Subject matter are insects manipulated into allegories about 'body', the body-mind relationship, contemporary society's attitudes toward body and physical reality, through interference.
“Überflügelt” : German, pp, for 'excelled' 'surpassed', literally: 'over-winged'. The approach taken in the artworks oscillates between ernest contemplation and literal humour, Zivilisationskritik and self-examination, sarcastic observation and emphatic statement.

A strong visual link throughout the works, the intense striping is not 'background', but presence or absence of ambient light over time, varying rhythmically and in degree. This process utilizes and visualizes the essential technical difference in image-capture between camera and scanner.
The result is visually arresting in an op-art, industrial light and magic kind of way, and resembles 'wave'-patterns of codified information, transmitted by light. It also resembles gel-electrophoresis of human DNA. Both in Quantum Physics and a number of ancient cosmologies, Light, Vibration and Intent are recognised to be causal to all physical form.
